In the Tien Shan Mountains, a region in the heart of Central Asia, poachers hunt snow leopards for their fur. The Kyrgyz nature conservation group "Bars" is constantly on the move, looking out for any signs of poaching, checking gun permits and searching the mountains for traps. Rescued animals and those that have no chance of surviving in the wild find refuge in the rehabilitation centre.
