Amid rising threats to underwater infrastructure, Germany is investing in AI to buff up its maritime security. The multimillion ‘Argus’ project analyses vast date to detect potential threats to key infrastructure like gas pipelines, power cables and fibre-optic cables. Following the Nord Stream attacks in 2022, safeguarding these precious assets has become a major security issue in the country.
