Asian hornets in Europe
3 min
Available until 22/11/2026
Asian hornets are taking over Europe! Since 2016 they've featured on the list of worrying invasive alien species for the EU. As well as being dangerous to humans because of their potentially fatal sting, they also threaten the survival of other important insects like bees. Autumn is the best time of year to track them because the queens go out to get supplies in preparation for winter.
