La Maestra is an international competition open to women conductors at the Philharmonie de Paris with the Paris Mozart Orchestra. This year 16 candidates from all over the world compete in front of a jury led by acclaimed Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv.
In the semi finals, each candidate has 40 minutes to practice with the orchestra before performing two pieces: the accompaniment to a concerto and a scene from an opera.
