Greece's state postal service ELTA is in the midst of a deep financial and structural crisis. Almost half of its branches nationwide are to be permanently closed. The closure of the first 46 branches, mainly in the Attica region, sparked massive protests. And for greek people, ELTA is also considered a service provider that, among other things, pays out pensions and allows people to pay their bills.
