M'Era Luna Festival

The gothic atmospherics of the M'era Luna metal festival returns to Hildesheim in Germany every year to envelop its public in a fog of hard rock, new wave, gothic and symphonic metal. A whole world of unique festival experiences.

Irishman Ronan Harris is the brain behind VNV Nation as well as the only permanent member of the group. His project was first launched in 1990, gradually laying the foundations for the pop of the future. VNV Nation (the three letters stand for ‘Victory Not Vengeance’) and its danceable trance has been a regular fixture in the German charts, with no less than eleven albums finding success there. His discography also includes an acclaimed collaboration with the Babelsberg film studio orchestra.

This trio from Braunschweig are among the pioneers of the ‘Neue Deutsche Härte’, the German dance metal scene and have been immersed in dark rock since the 1980s. With the departure of singer and drummer Dero Goi in 2021, Crap and Flux have taken over. With vocalist Daniel Schulz on top form and a new album in the bag, the band have masterfully negotiated the turnaround and arrive in force at M'era Luna.

Oomph have been playing dark rock since the late 80s. The trio's new album is entitled Richter und Henker, meaning ‘Judge and Executioner.’

Lacrimas Profundere is Latin for ‘shedding tears’. A fitting motto, given that the Bavarian band have made a speciality of gloomy, melancholy songs that seem to have been tailor-made for walks out in the depths of the darkest nights. Driven by the trenchant voice of frontman Julian Larre, Lacrimas Profundere leans heavily on epic instrumentations for a truly chilling musical experience.

With its gloomy songs, this band delivers the ideal soundtrack for a stroll in the depths of night.

The brainchild of various members of death and black metal bands Dissection, Swordmaster and Ophthalamia, Deathstars was formed in Sweden in 2000. Two years later, the band released their first album. Synthetic Generation sold well, first in its home country, then around the world. Ruthless guitars coupled with the deep voice of singer Whiplasher Bernadotte are Deathstars' unstoppable trademark.
