For centuries women have been in charge on the isolated Estonian island of Kihnu. Whilst the men were away at sea, the women would look after the animals, harvest the crops and look after the children. Today, there are less opportunities on the island so many young people want to leave. Filmmaker Julia Finkernagel immersed herself in the local community over twelve months.

The 30-year-old Orit Mohammed grew up in the highlands of Ethiopia, the cradle of coffee. Coffee is in her blood and she was driven to set up an import/export coffee business in the United Arab Emirates. She's one of the few women in the industry, and she wants to change things for other women through her work.
