The Enguri hydroelectric dam is the largest in the Caucasus, a masterpiece of Soviet era engineering which provides a large part of Georgia’s power. But the concrete colossus is showing its age. A group of German and Georgian scientists visit the structure to identify the risks of the 50-year-old structure.
