The Britannia was the official yacht of the Royal Family for over four decades until December 1997 when the vessel was retired. Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the Royal Family sailed across the globe on the Britannia on numerous official state visits. This documentary tells the story of a very special Royal residence and Sailors and royal commentators tell of life aboard the ship and the place it played in British diplomacy.
