Stone Techno Festival

The Ruhr Museum and The Third Room unite the past, present and future at the UNESCO World Heritage former Zollverein mining complex for Stone Techno Festival. Sitting at the crossroads of science, contemporary music and the museum experience, this forward-thinking and multidisciplinary event reflects the push for transformation and renovation in the Ruhr region of western Germany. 

Ben Sims is one of the most talented DJs and producers on the techno scene with a 25-year career. Steeped in funk, groove and electro, he is always keen to evolve. The British artist has collaborated on remixes with Jeff Mills, Robert Hood and Kevin Saunderson. He is also famous for his electro sets where he mixes simultaneously with three or even five decks.
Oscar Mulero is a prolific Spanish DJ. In the early 90s, his influence on dance music in Spain was decisive. Since the 2000s, his productions have inspired the scene at home and abroad.

Dax J grew up in the UK an avid fan of jungle, drum 'n' bass and garage. This London DJ has made it from pirate radio to magazine covers and from backroom parties to headlining at every major techno institution around the world. His technical ability has made him a unique presence in modern dance music.

A leading proponent of underground techno since the early 2000s and a major influence in electronic music in his native Spain since the early 1990s, Oscar Mulero performs in Stone Techno at the cavernous post-industrial space of the Zollverein near Essen.

From the late 1990s, Rødhåd laid the foundations for his DJ career. His perfectionist mixes of dub techno and percussive grooves earned him widespread recognition and since 2010, he has been a resident of Berlin's Berghain.
At the same time, Vril took the techno scene by storm, almost out of nowhere. As a producer, he pursues a timeless sound aesthetic that serves no trend in the genre. With his energetic live sets, he has impressed audiences across the world.

Better known by his stage name Kyteman, Dutchman Colin Benders has had an impressive career on the hip-hop scene. More recently, his talent has also been noted on the techno scene.
