Six wheelchair users discuss their very personal journeys, and while some see their wheelchair as a means to making the most of life with their physical disability, others still find it hard to come to terms with their situation. All have had to challenge stereotypes and clichés about people with disabilities in their daily lives.

When you think urban gardens and vegetable patches, you might think locally produced food and self-sufficient cities, but feeding a whole city with just a few rooftop vegetable gardens was never going to be likely. So why are more and more of them springing up? Could these green spaces also be used for education, therapy and social integration? Laetitia Limmois investigates.

Tattooing began as an ancient symbolic practice and has evolved into an artform, but today it can also be used to cover scars, camouflage skin conditions and even reconstruct nipples after mastectomy, allowing people to cope better with the aftermath of accidents or illness. Laetitia Limmois meets reconstructive tattoo artists and uncovers the possibilities and the risks.

France’s Collages Féminicides movement is using public spaces as a forum to speak out against violence against women, whether sexual or domestic. Plastering the walls of cities with their messages, the movement has gone from strength to strength since 2020, expanding to call out sexism, racism and discrimination.
